Familibase is a centre for children, young people and families based

service delivery; Early Years Care and Education, Child & Family
Supports and Youth & Community Supports. Familibase operates an
integrated model of practice. Programme delivery occurs at different
levels, from Universal Level to Intensive wrap around practice for
those with multiple or complex needs. Familibase could be described as
a ?one stop shop? of supports for children, young people and
families.
Familibase are recruiting a Child & Family Worker who will work as
part of the Child and Family Supports Strand of Familibase.
The Child and Family team provide high quality, evidence informed
programmes to children, young people and their families. The 3
programme areas of this strand are outlined below;
* Intensive Family Support Programme with a specific focus on Hidden
Harm and Teen Parents. The aim is to integrate community, voluntary
and statutory services to enable each child and young person receive
the best outcomes from everybody?s input and support. The Child and
Family Worker takes on the coordination role ensuring the focus is on
supporting each child?s physical, emotional and educational needs.
* Child & Family Groups Programme ? A range of developmental
groups including evidence-based parenting programmes, parent and
baby/toddler groups, and early literacy groups for babies and
toddlers, wellness groups for parents and evidence based therapeutic
groups to support young people cope with parental substance misuse.
* Therapies Programme ? Individual and family therapy to children
and families when they are ready to engage in this process. This
resource is very limited.
The successful person will provide wraparound support within the three
areas above to ensure optimum outcomes for the children and young
people and families receiving the service.

* Demonstrated flexible attitude to work
* Demonstrated ability to work within a wider continuum of service
delivery
* Capacity to ensure the organisational policies and procedures
support the needs-led nature of the practice in FamiliBase

overall child and family well-being.
